  • You shouldn't let the prescence of anyone else determine whether or not you go. He is your father and you have more right to be there than anyone. You have to decide which you would regret more, going and having to put up with those people, or not going and missing out on the chance to say goodbye to your father and for closure.
  • Your choice, for yourself and any other family members who you may respect who will be there. Funerals are for the living, not the dead. If you don't want to go, and there are no other family members who will be offended by your absence, skip it.
