I think it may of done years ago but if it has its been bricked up..

I have a cellar but it would be too low to make a livable space. I'm between 5'4" and 5'5" and I have to bend over where the beams are.
-
Nope, this is CA.
-
Nope. Basements are rare in NE Texas.
-
Livable and almost finished.

About 1/3 storage and 2/3 finished and liveable. Carpeted, pool table, dart board, bar with four stools, wrap around couch with three recliners, big screen plasma with surround sound, walk out French doors to a six person hot tub, wood pellet Franklin stove for heat in the winter, fridge and freezer

No...It has a crawl space. Out of +

I have a basement and it is completely messy because it is for storage and we have a lot of junk!
-
We have a "walkout" basement that is 90% finished with the rest being storage area. We have a family room, computer room, bedroom, laundry room and bath down there, plus the small storage area. It's a great space.
-
Nope. I live in a two level, apartment which is above a pharmacy.

That's where my 'puter is yo... ;)=)

It has a sofa bed and a 1/2 bath next door. It's my TV room. Yes, it's livable. +5
-
Yes, we do and it could be livable with major fixing up but for now, its where the washer and dryer live.
-
Nope, basements are practically unheard-of in Texas. It's either the coast and water table is too high, or hard limestone rock that's impossible to jackhammer into without dynamite. Texas houses have lots of closets and nooks for storage instead.
-
It is definitely storage only
-
No, I live in an apartment.
-
it does and I live in it
-
Could be both, if we added a bathroom and cleaned it up it would be a livable place, right now though it's just being used for storage, which I'm in the process of cleaning up. Only side note is that it's only a 6 foot clearance, you would have to dig the floor out 2 more feet for a roomy space.

Yes, I have a basement in my home, and it is liveable. No bed, but it has a nice comfy couch, rug, television, portable AC/heater and plenty of space to walk around.
