How do modern Muslims understand the term "Mu'tazilah" or "Mu'tazilite"? (Arabic المعتزلة al-mu`tazilah) Does it haveany particular significance within earlly Islam?

mutazilah orginated in the second century of islam...

they are extreme sect who claims a lot of things diffrent than all muslim

like...the muslim who do a great sin will get in the hell//or the muslim who do a great sin is not muslim anymore...and something like this which is clearly quran said the opposite of it

and they said some things strage about the destiny

there are a lot of sects in Islam..as other relegions are... and Mohammed pbuh told us that and he said don't astray from my way .. the quran and Sunnah .. and don't exaggerate in your religion.

  I saw the term "mutazilah" in a history book about Islam, but it did not say much about them except that they believed that human reason was more important than the Koran.
