  • Try to keep the doors closed on your refrigerators and freezers as much as possible. This keeps the cold air inside. A full freezer can stay at freezing temperatures about 2 days; a half-full freezer about 1 day. If you think the power will be out for several days, try to find some ice to pack inside your refrigerator. Remember to keep your raw foods separate from your ready-to-eat foods.
  • DON'T OPEN YOUR FREEZER/REFRIDGERATOR!!! Most likely everything will be fine until the power comes back on. Just make sure the SUPER perishable things are good (like milk) when you get your power back...
  • have an ice box (you no one of those big ice boxes) adnd u can put milk and other foods that need refrijoratiton, for u to stay healthey and mainly alive...lol... make sure to have big bottles of water (cranberry juice contanieres), a lot , and keep it in a closet, so u can drink when there isn;t any water
