There is one pub in this little village, I used to go there at weekends, it is owned by the man that used to be the local policeman, it was funny to watch him coming in from his job, going in the back to change his uniform an then standing behind the bar to serve, we would sit there till 2`00 in the morning.
It's a brew pub on the water in Michigan.I have plans to go there very soon:)
Local neighborhood bar within a very large restaurant. Most people don't know it exists, even folks eating in the restaurant. Kinda dead for happy hour but live music late night.
A sushi place down the road from me, Shogun. Om nom nom. They have a great lunch special.
There's a little Breakfast/Lunch place we go to all the time, they even have a picture of my son up on the wall.
We're also well known at a few bars in the area - my husband's a musician, and performs in those venues a couple of times a month or so.
I have two (one for each of the areas I live in).
They are both pubs, both painfully old buildings (I'm talking centuries upon centuries old), inside the rooms and sections are all higgledy piggledy and there are really cool antiques on the walls, its like stepping back in time. You see the same faces each time you go, everybody knows everybodys names Cheers style, and asking for anything other than ale or cider is met with a blank stare. Singing and music encouraged.
I just love it! Ancient pubs like these is what I would miss most if I left England.
