heres the thing, i dont know if people know this or not, but the court of appeals, especially the supreme court IS where policy is made, its not where the law itself is written, but policy made by declaring laws unconstitutional ECT. for example the policy, prior to the civil rights cases, our policy was discrimination, it was, 'seperate but equal' (another policy made by the supreme court) it was about treating african americans as second class citizens. but a large amount of supreme court cases dealing with the issue of discrimination came about, and thus changing our 'policy'

Had a white person brought up race, and implied he/she would be able to handle a situation BETTER because of race or gender...the press would have gone insane.
She is saying that it is a mistake to talk about that on camera because there are too many ignorant people out there who do not understand the role of the courts.
Still, when Bush was actually legislating from the Oval Office with signing statements, I didn't see you guys complaining.
