How can you be bisexual? I understand being gay or straight but I don't understand how you don't know which sex you want. (not being mean, just would like to understand)

I don't think bisexuality is often about not knowing which you want. My understanding is it's being attracted to both. To each his/her/its own. I would argue that more people are bisexual than admit it. Prison populations bear this out.

My friend says he is attracted to the person, not the gender.
