Well, for starters, each woman is an individual. For some it feels good, for some it doesn't and for some it is neutral. Also, many nurses have never breast-fed, so they wouldn't know.
Honestly, though I've never been pregnant or a mother, from what I hear there's not a lot of support or information given to new mothers. Judging from this, and the rates of undiagnosed PPD and PPP, it seems the doctors and nurses only concern themselves with the physical aspects -- "is the baby out? is it ok? Ok, well, get out now." Dunno if that's true for midwives or not.

I breastfed for three months. It didn't feel good. It didn't feel like anything at all.
After the first few weeks my Now ex felt the same way.
