Question

Help answer this question below.

Why is it that nurses/midwives dont explain what breast feeding is going to feel like. It felt great but almost in a sexual way and I was scared I was a pervert. They dont say it makes your womb contract and you feel it. No one seems to discuss this WHY?

When I was pregnant a lot of what to expect while breast feeding was explained, including the contraction of the uterus. I don't believe that many women get sexually aroused by feeding their child, that is new to me!

Well, assuming this is a real question.....If you are getting sexually aroused by this, then you should stop immediately. I've read about this in different publications, it doesn't necessarily make you a pervert. I mean in the sense you notice it one day and it freaks you out. On the other hand, you notice it and you keep doing it, then yeah you are. BTW, nurses do say your womb contracts, it feels like menstrual cramps. Every nurse I've come across gives you general guidelines how it should feel. Initially it hurts, but once you get the hang of it, I never felt a thing, but tenderness and love watching my baby eat. Again, breasts are meant to have those feelings, but of course not from a baby, and if you are a real woman with a real question. My best advice to you would be to pump exclusively and give your baby your milk that way. Good luck.
