What an interesting question. Its construct is odd.

Success is an inactive thing, so I do not know how 'it' can wait?

If you mean, should we be patient in seeking success in our lives, then that too is an interesting question.

I think we should be patient for success; we work towards success. However there are other ways to gain success. Some people will do anything for success (eg go on TV reality shows, or make as money as possible in a short a time as possible). For some success is thrust upon them, such as Michael Jackson.

I would think though that for a vast majority of people success is something we work towards, taking one step at a time.

Success can also be measured in inward things, like the ability to be kind, to love, to be generous. Such things can take a lifetime! Look at Mother Teresa, working her whole life for hungry.

We have at least 80 years on this planet, let's succeed along every step of the way.

Wishing you well in your own thoughts.
