When you first start a job, you are still learning the ropes. It can take a month or two (or more) to get to a point where you can handle all your duties. I know when I hire someone, I'll start them out with just a few things, then add additional duties as they are learning. If you feel like you are able to take on additional responsibility, talk to your supervisor. I'm sure he or she will be happy to give you more work.
