My wooden floor seems to be acting like a heatsink. How is this possible? My temp is just 39 degrees c at 90% cpu usage.

    Try either moving the cpu off the floor and onto a table or something that wont conduct more heat onto the cpu. And if it still is running at that kind of capacity then your processor is running to many programs at once and you might not have the ram speed to keep up with it at, remember the cooler your computer is the better it will run so check to see how many programs you have running at start up of your pc by going to "run" under the start menu and typing in "msconfig" then click on the tab "startup" then look at the list of all the programs that startup and run when your computer is on and carefully go through and select the programs that are not necessary to run all the time, but make sure you don't cancel out any windows programs that are needed to run your OS properlly then restart your computer when prompted and you should see a change in the capacity of your CPU.
