  • One would be Acid from fruits and Tomatoes
  • I think its genetics actually. Some people are more prone to them than others.
  • The devil. This is the only explanation for me being afflicted with a mouth full of burning sores every time I walk past a lemon. It depends on the person, there are various triggers in different people. For me it's citrus fruits, for others it can be dairy foods, stress, smoking all sorts. There's really priceless info on the little feckers at http://www.mouthulcers.org/
  • I get sores in my mouth all the time. They're called canker sores. I usually get them from biting myself while eating or sleeping and then it gets larger and more sore because of the things that I eat and drink. They usually go away in a week. I've been told to let a dentist file down my teeth so that they wouldn't be as sharp but that's just not something I'm willing to do.
  • oh low iron! low iron is a huge cause of mouth ulsers. of course 'trauma' starts them off and acid keeps them going, but what makes you prone to the non canker sore kind is partly low iron oh i know because i have 5 right now, they suck.
