My first guess is a head gasket.

The most likely explanation is that the cylinder head gasket has broken down between a pressurized oil passage and a coolant passage. Its unlikely but possible this is due to a latent casting flaw or crack in the cylinder head or block, the more common aging related cracks would have different symptoms.
