    Why not ask a famous celebrity if he/she would agree to have dinner with the winner.This happens quite often in th UK and usually raises lots of money for the project or charity.Its usually £1.00 ($1.59) for a ticket.

    depends where you live and what the fundraiser is for....'garage' sale, crab feed/spaghetti feed with either a silent auction or raffle tickets for items donated, a week in someone's donated time share..just some thoughts that I've seen work.
