Japan executes it's criminals by hanging them. Is that a better or worse way to go than lethal injection?

"good" way? i'm not sure. my question was which way was a worse way to die. i take it you are against the death penalty. why? it is only used against the worst criminals

I live in a country that has no death penalty, 1 of the few things the government is right about. I do disagree with it because i think that murder, even state-sponsored murder is wrong. Also, with science continually advancing I believe that convictions that are seen as 100% correct now may one day be proved incorrect. Someone wrongfully locked up can be freed. Someone wrongfully given the death penalty doesn't have that luxury.

And what about the trauma of a wrongful term of imprisonment? I know personally I'd rather die than spend more than a night behind bars, whether I did it or not.

which is what murderers should be thinking BEFORE they commit a capital offence....but thankfully, our society is more merciful than the criminal, we don't rape them before we strangle/slice/or mutilate them to death. we simply feed, clothe, house and provide them with healthcare until the 20 yrs of their legal appeals process is exhausted. and then we feed them a meal of anything their heart desires, allow them to see their loved ones and a priest one last time and then lay them down on a table and they go to sleep, forever. thank God we don't do unto them as they've done unto their victims.

The criminals damn themselves, my only concern is that we not damn ourselves in our treatment of them.
