I'd like to get rid of my american accent and speak oxford english, because I think it sounds a lot more posh. It's hard to get rid of old habits, though.

For laughs it could be great to be able to do an indian accent.

I lived in Scotland when I was little and had this brilliant scottish accent. Now, through studying english in Iceland, living in England and watching too much american tely, it's kind of a unique mixture of all...
I'd love to get back my broad scottish accent!!!

Either a posh English accent (what they call RP, like an old-fashioned BBC announcer), or an educated Black American accent.

My current accent is Scottish, as a point of comparison.

  • A Southern drawl would be interesting just for fun. At least I could have a conversation with my family in Kentucky and be able to understand them for once.

I like my Kiwi accent. It has a tendancy to change on it's own though. I have a fair bit of Irish ancestry and well...put me in a room full of Irish and before long I really do start sounding like one of them...lol

I have been told by many people that I have no accent, I am from NC and most everyone here has a very southern/redneck accent.

If I could choose I would pick English proper or an Australian accent. Anything except Southern or French.

I love my Australian accent but I would just love to have a British accent. I am not sure from what area, just nothing poshy. I am practicing, and am slowly but surely getting better. Except I have at least 5 different ones. I don't know where they come from, but its cool when I say one decent sized sentence and they all come through LOL.

I wouldn't change my accent by choice, but if I had to then I'd have an Aussie accent, "Struth ya lil' rippa, throw another shrimp on the barby, mate!"

I would keep my British accent, I am happy with it and I would hate having a much higher - pitched accent ( no offense to anyone )
