Okay, there is a big difference between childbirth and a fire. With a burn, you have a scar. With childbirth, you have a beautiful gift for life.
I have gone through total natural childbirth (no meds or intervention) 4X and would be willing to go through it again. It is worth it. When you see that beautiful baby in your arms, you forget a lot about yourself and focus on that baby.
Also, with a burn, you had no control. With a birth, you can plan and read ahead about positions and psyche yourself up. You can plan to labor in water, etc. A burn is a unexpected trauma. Also, you can use pain meds, but if your labor goes quickly or too fast....TRUST ME, they won't give it to you!! So don't assume that you can use meds. I wanted some pain meds with my second and my labor was too far gone and the risk was too high!! My third and fourth and first were a breeze.
You're not taking into account the power of spinal blocks...no pain, no problem;-)
it's called selective memory and it works quite well

You're reading Why do woman claim having birth is the most painful thing ever, and then have more babies? If I got burned in a fire and it was the most painful thing ever I would never do it again.
