According to the NAG HAMMADI Scriptures Jehovah means "The blind God" Because he was created by "The All" Which is the main energy of life. Jehovah not realizing the he himself was created told Moses the he was the only God. The All was upset by this statement and named him "The blind God, Jehovah" It's strange when you really think about it because in the OT his name was "I AM" until he gave Moses the commandments and only after that they started calling him Jehovah.

In the Hebrew script in which the Old Testament (Talmud) was written, vowels were not written down. The four letters JWVH or JHWH, known now as the Tetragrammaton, were used to refer to the personal name of God. The first appear in the second chapter of Genesis, very early in the Bible. It was as far as I know a wrong pronunciation or translation of Yahweh, when certain clerics deciphered the ancient Hebrew into Latin. I'm not 100% clear but it's just a wrong translation of Hebrew for God. It could have been ancient Hebrew hieroglyphics based on the Greek writing style or a more modern version of Hebrew. There is no such word as Jehovah, it was made up from an error in translation. So I guess they witnessed nothing.
