My parents did not want me but could not get rid of me in the 50s so I was never given a party and made to feel ashamed at my birth
No. I turned 21 in a fox hole in Nam.
No, what with being pregnant and all, I could not.
nope.
I do not celebrate birthdays for myself because to me age is unimportant.
however I have thrown parties for friends in the past because their birthdays are important to them.
No, I was pregnant with my daughter and not really so hell bent on a party at that time.

I will! lol going to Vegas with my family and very excited!!
Yep; my father believed I should celebrate every "milestone" birthday. So I had a Sweet 16; an Elegant 18; and a debutante ball when I turned 21.
i didn't even know we were supposed to have one!!
My biggest party was when I turned 19. That was the legal drinking age at the time. I was "grandfather claused" into the drinking age when it turned to 21. Since I was already old enough to drink by the old law, I got to continue to drink under the new law. +5
in my own head then yes
I don't remember much about turning 21. I know that I was in Japan and I had a party. After that it is a blur.
Not really
Nope! Came and went without ANYONE even knowing!
Nope... :(
Pretty much every day was a party when I was 21.
No, I didn't. It was just another birthday. My big one was 18.
no my biggies were 10 and 18 and 40.
No.
I was working a shit-end job far from home and friends.
No, I didn't. I think my husband made me dinner. It was so long ago I barely remember.
No, I did go buy some wine coolers and wasn't even carded. That was a bummer and honestly I haven't really drank since...not sure why but I think drinking for me was more about the excitement of not getting caught... sad I know.
My "big" party was when I turned 10.
I went out with some friends in AC.
Nope... my big party was when I turned 18. For my 21st I think I just a family dinner and went clubbing with my friends.
I didn't have a party in a specific location, just went out on the lash with a heap of mates, the same as we did for every birthday after the age of seventeen.
Nope! it was massive! Huge! & twenty one years on I still have the hangover to prove it!! Lol.. :-/
BTW, great pic!! ;-)
Let's see.... in 90 minutes, I drank several beers, and about 7 different shots. One of them was called Satan's piss (Bacardi 151 & tobasco sauce). Everything was fine til we got home and smoked. I got to taste Satan's piss again after that
LOL, I was having my first son on my 21st birthday.
I am not 21 yet but I will have a big party when I am. I am 16 by the way.
Nope it was just another day. As I recall I think a friend bought me a beer. That was almost 50 years ago!
If staying up for enarly 3 days straight and in all a week long party counts as big then yes. But funny thing is I started drinking a lot less a post 21, not to say I dont drink much now but just that I drank way to much pre-21. Funny how that works...
so how do politely say no to a party i said I'd to? I dont know any of the 50ppl that will be there, all the ppl i know wont be there
