  • I was sent there when I started temping with an employment agency. I liked the job, they liked me, they offered me a full time job and voila! I'm still there. :)
  • I found the company that was doing the particular kind of research that I am interested in and then applied until I got the job I wanted.
  • My ex boyfriend's mother thought her company needed a receptionist so she told the CEO that I would be perfect for the job.
  • I went to college, the military, national community service and studied abroad. Then I took a lot of Civil service tests and 8 months later got an interview, then 4 months later got hired. Now I want to do it all over again
  • My mother passed and left me a substantial amount of cash. My step-father is a concrete man. He introduced me to a developer whom I bought a lot from. The developer guided me through the homebuilding process. I enjoyed it so much, I continued. I seem to have a knack for it.

  • I was a recreational diver for a number of years. Someone asked me to retrieve a wallet that they'd dropped of their boat next to a wharf. I was offered $100. I found it within 5 minutes, was paid with a soaking 100 dollar bill and here I am 15 years later, more gear, more training and a company of my own, still finding or fixing things people have lost or placed underwater by accident or design.
