It was freaking amazing. Besides the lack of plot, I really enjoyed it. Excuse my teenage-boyness, but there's something really enjoyable about watching Spartans wreck wave after wave of Persians. Perhaps most movies are more enjoyable at midnight on opening night. "Madness? THIS IS SPARTA!"

It was the greatest moviegoing expirience of my life!! Incredible scenery, acting, and visual. The slow motion parts on the battlefield were my favorite, I cant wait to see it again!!

It has its pluses and minues. Pluses: the action is by far the top notch, very few compare in quality. The art style worked well with the cinmetography. Minuses: the mythlogoical creatures took away from the realism that it was based on real events. Some of them were laughable I.E. the big fat monster with the weird claws and the goat. There loin cloth outfits was a little homoerotic along with some of the comradere which took away from the story, which wasn't super great. But all and all the absoulutely awesome action made up for some of the laughable scenes.

Great movie in general. Action was one of the best I've ever seen in a while. Way better than those other "ancient rome" films. (step aside Brad Pitt, Butler as Leonidas, kicks ass!) Despite being mush fantasy on Miller's part, it was actually pretty histoorically accurate. Aome people say that the persians were depicted wrongly though. But you gotta remember this was just for entertainment.

great friggen flick. i really liked zack snyders direction, lots of great shots to accommodate the intense action. i didnt think the fantasy elements of the movie took away from it at all. some of the generic, metal music i could have done without i suppose.

OMG IT WAS THE BEST MOVIE EVER, NOT ONLY WAS THE STORY LINE GREAT BUT THE GRAPHICS WERE AMAZING. LIKE A PAINTING FORMING INTO REALITY. 2 THUMBS UP!!!!!

Yes, I saw it a couple of weekends ago with my two sons, sister and niece. It was very interestingly made, with the digital huge crowd scenes. I think the abs were fake, don't you? But it was a good story line and well done.

I found it used the same old hollywood style ,interesting but historically quite inaccurate.The story line was a little weak but lots of action.Horodotus was an unreliable story teller that hated the Persians,and exaggerated the amount of Persian soldiers they fought against for it would have been impossible to have a large amount of soldiers to get through the mountain passes, and the fact that the Persians were not barbarians.

It was fantastic! All brand new, from pulling down the gamma to the golden filters to the exclusive use of CGI for blood and arrows. It was a special effects wet dream! The acting was top notch and the story was timeless. A perfect mix of old and new! That is why it has made over $350,000,000 in less than a month. It is a good thing that most people are smart enough to know the difference between fact and fiction, reality and fantasy or people would still be throwing virgins into volcanoes to get it to rain.

Great special effects. Great inaccuracy of portrayal since it was based upon a silly comic book and not really upon historical accuracy. Greatly entertaining and other movies of this sort would be highly anticipated for sure.

I loved it. Great movie. No point in being even slightly interested in historical accuracy - that's not the point of the movie anyway! Effects were spectacular, the story pretty cool, some of the characters very cool. Good for a massive testosterone overdose!

I saw it with all my friends and they said it was amazing but it seemed way to fake to me. Everything was so cheesy that I was laughing through the whole thing.

I was bored - all that silly arial ballet and unrealistic conbat, they could have made a real drama instead of a rather homo-erotic cartoon.

The previews looked good but when I actualy saw the movie I was very disapointed in it and it was long and boring except for the muscles but that was the only good thing about the movie.I will never watch it again and fall asleep.

I can't complain on the ridiculous hype which promoted it, because as far as intended concept goes, I believe that this film totally delivered what it promised. That is, action, violence and a heavy layer of fantasy. However, I thought the story was rather asinine, but I did ogle the whole time, ha ha. For what it was, it was perfect, although a little more substance and less exaggerated sense of unrealistic honour mighta been nice...but I suppose that's what otherwise makes it awesome right?

i loved it. i saw it in theaters and watching all those half naked guys kicking everyones ass was pretty cool. i never like movies like that, but this one blew my mind! plus gerard butler is one of my favorite actors.

I loved it. I was dragged to the cinema really reluctantly by my then boyfriend, but was on the edge of my seat (literally) the whole way through =)
