Help answer this question below.
Pubic hair is adaptive because it provides protection to delicate areas as well as providing cooling due to sweat diffusing up the hair and evaporating. It has also been hypothesized that the remaining body hair also assists in the dispersion of pheromones which increases the probability of successfully producing viable offspring and is thus highly adaptive. Biological systems tend to eliminate unnecessary expenses of enery fairly quickly, therefore pubic hair can be assumed to be adaptive at least during our evolutionary history. Even if it is no longer adaptive, which I personally doubt very much, humans have not been wearing clothing, particularly tight fitting undergarments, consistently for a long enough period of time for selective pressure to eliminate pubic hair.
Evolution only weeds out traits that either: A) Kill you, or B) Make you infertile. Have you ever heard of pubes killing anyone? Neither have I. And they certianly don't make you infertile.
It also provides some measure of comfort and absorbs small shocks to the system. The curliness of the hair is almost universal. It also acts as a shock absorber for minor bumps.
Its when we where primates to attract the other partner it was more about smell more than physical atttraction so therefore the hairs around the genitalia amplified the smell and attracted a suitable candidate for reprduction so peple who say we have pubes to keep us clean couldnt be futher from the truth because its acually the opposite.
Will I dont know why women have it,but if men shaved there pubes and went out n the frezzing cold they could die or some thing cause the pubes keeps that area warm and protects it.I read about this on line along while back but i dont really rememebr what it said but I did my best to explain it.

You're reading Why do you have pubes, if the purpose of hair was to keep you warm, i mean evolution should make us all pube free now.
