Help answer this question below.
The parental rights case has already been dismissed, and the protection order is getting there. George- i didnt violate anything because the judge said he was aloud to call me whenever to talk to me about the kids, or to talk to them. So i didnt go against anything. I saw him/let him see children once because he was deploying for 14mos, and thought that it was the right thing to do being that theres a chance he won't come back. I only got the orders in the first place because i was pushed into doing it by everyone around me, now i'm trying to get them dismissed. 1down, 1to go now.. any other questions or remarks from anyone? and 'lady....' i hope this answered your question as well!
Begs the question: if the person was bad enough to deserve a restraining order, why the hell would you want to marry them?
Doesn't matter because you would have already violated your own order by having contact, and thus should be arrested. Restraining orders are a two way street.
Yes basically. But you need to officially withdraw it.

You're reading If you marry someone, but have a parental rights and/or restraining order against that person, will getting married automatically cancel those?

A restraining order only last so long. The last one I filed expired 6 months later. You need to find out if it is expired. Call the courts that file it and ask them if it is still in effect. Otherwise you will have to file a dismissal or something like that to closed it.
