that is NOT a dumb question. I dont know either. I thought it was due to thier rating at first when i joined but, now i have no clue other than they are all cold.

It is supposed to be a group of people on here, that go around and uprate people that have been trolled, but it has become a huge controversy, some say they only uprate their friends (COATS), some say, they are just as bad as trolls, some say they are COATS, when they arent. -
No it's not a dumb question. COAT stands for Cooperative Of Anti Trolls. The members of this organization use COAT in their name to be identified. As Spicy said, lately there has been a lot of controversy about them. Some people have used their name, without actually becoming members, and caused trouble. Some or many are part of the COATS which helps keep trolls down and helps people being bothered by them. I think they still hold meeting now nad then.

COAT members is a group of vigilanties. They seek out nega trolls and harrass them to the point where they violate the terms of service, and staff gives them the boot. Some coat members know the history of many repeatable nega trolls. They know their names and their characteristics. Some people just like to cruise through here while they are on the clock somewhere and leave their mark. Its part of the game.
