Do mind if an Islamic Scholar should be involved in advising Conventional bank on Islamic financial products?

Here the conventional bank is also providing Islamic services.

    It would be discriminatory if the Job requirement included the necessity to be of any particular religion.

    It would also be wrong if the advisor had insufficient financial knowledge to advise on alternative investments.

    I see no reason why an Islamic scholar shouldn't be employed by a bank but it should not be because of her religious beliefs.

    Interesting!

    The question brings to mind the fact I am strangely ignorant of any Islamic charities.
    OK, there is the red crescent but isn't that an offshoot of the secular charity the red cross with the cross changed to crescent to avoid upsetting Islamic sensitivities?

    I'm aware of western secular charities and even christian charities working in islamic countries. But I know little of Islamic charities and their work.

    Anyone enlighten me?
