The BBB really doesn't do anything. Remember, they're funded by businesses, you don't think they're gonna turn against the hand that feeds them do you? What you experienced was only as a result of the fear factor

You're reading I've always heard claims that the Better Business Bureau is really no threat to businesses that gave you a problem. Yet, I had a problem with a business, nothing resolved contacting them, but they instantly wanted to settle after filing a BBB complaint.

I see what you mean.
Either way my issue was resolved.
Basically, a computer tech came in, put a computer which was on the floor, on my expensive oak coffee table than scratched it at least 4-5 times.
When we contacted the company, they could care less. Even their insurance agent could care less.
We just put a complaint in to BBB online, suddenly their National Operations Manager I believe it was, called and said, he wanted to settle and wanted me to sign a paper saying no further action.

Sometimes that's all it takes. I had a number of problems with the post office (now we're talking an agency that truly doesn't give a crap about anything) and, after many letters, phone calls, etc., I gave up and went directly to the National Customer Service line. Within a matter of an hour, I had a call back from my local post master, apologizing and blah blah blah. Unfortunately, I wasn't as lucky as you, the problems continue as if nothing had happened and I'm just not in the mood to go down that road again...for now

As I said, consider yourself lucky that it got resolved.
