    Oh, goodness, yes!

Nothing made me happier than hearing the chiming of "Pop goes the Weasel" at 9 a.m. on a warm Summer morning... Screaming and running through the house, begging for a few extra dollars, and then running out after the ice cream man. I'm sure my parents weren't too thrilled, but hey...

Yes, I remember sprinting like 2 or 3 blocks just to catch up with him. My favorite were the white lemon popsicles.

Sort of. I'm not the biggest ice cream fan. It had to be hot, and I had to really want it. Now I don't really care, when I was younger I think I got more excited.

Here I go, showing my age. When I was a kid, the Ice Cream man rode a 3 wheel trike with a little bell that he rang. And yes we did get excited! Also when the milkman came around, if we took a bowl out, he would scrape ice off the inside of the truck, then Mother would put Koolaid on it and we would eat snow cones! The ice cream cost a quarter but the ice was free.

Oh yes, as a chubby kid I think that was the only time I ran was when I heard the chimes of that truck coming. My cousins & I would race to see who could get there first. Looking back on it, not sure why we raced but we did we were just always racing as a kid to see who could beat who.

I enjoyed it I was thinking about it this morning. I think I enjoyed the sport of it more than the icecream its self because in less then 60 seconds you have to run to find your parrent convince them to give you a couple dollars then make it to the icecream truck before he leaves the block.. Aw good times.

when i was younger i would get really excited and i would always ask my mom if i could get something. She usually let me but she always told me that i was never to tell my grandmother (her mother) bc when she was younger my grandma and the older people called it the "polio wagon" bc polio was a big thing and with all the kids and parents running out and gathering around the ice cream truck, you were bound to catch something, maybe polio. haha i think thats funny.

yeah fantastic memories from being a kid in the 50's and 60's and I can still remember how great it was when the ice cream man got a new machine that could make the new age ice cream .... soft serve !!...because it was all scooped out with a ice cream scoops before .... and the best thing about 'soft serve' was you could bite the bottom of the cone and suck the ice cream through it !...lol yum yum yum !

No, because we couldnt afford many ice-creams so it was either embarrassing or upsetting.
