X-box 360, when started, goes to home screen, but then audiably clicks, and blocks appear througout, but not over the screen, as if resolution is wrong, but conrollers freeze? and hints to re-set, or am i buying an elite...

Try messing with resolutions if that does nothings I say go on the 360 website and request a shipping box. Say you got the 3 red rings and even if the warranty has ran out they will fix it for free
