Sat on a runway for five hours once. Had to go back to the airport after take-off because the plane's landing gear wouldn't retract another time.

excellent trip every single time about 12 total but then again I've driven a lot of old clunker cars where the only form of air conditioning were the holes in the floor so I'm kinda low maintenance
-
no but i've only flown once, well, twice if you count that it was a round trip.

Whenever parents let their kids run around the cabin, I hate it. That happened on a flight to Singapore once (on Singapore Airlines) and the flight attendant (in that slinky uniform) picked up two boys by the collar and ordered, "Look boys, this is my airplane and you aren't going to be running around like that." I think it scared them. I had never seen anything like that but Singapore Airlines runs a tight ship. Shortly after that, I flew on Continental to Guam and the same thing happened with two boys running around the cabin. The staff did absolutely NOTHING.

Bad, as in "Oh my god, we're going to die!" bad? Never. Bad, as in "Oh my god, would you please tell your kids to shut up?" bad? Just about every time I fly...:-P..

Yeah, after a 12 hour flight (9 of which were in the air), we (everyone) were asked to leave the plane. So I sorely (I was sore after sitting in those cramped coach seats, not that I've ever flown first class) got up and reached for my family's carry-on luggage as well as my own. By the time I had all of it wrapped around me (so as to make carrying it all easier) I looked up to see the pilot and the co-pilot walk into the area and look right back at me with a mix of fear and anger. I tried to say "Hey, aren't you guys supposed to wait until all of the passengers have left the plane before unlocking that door?" (as we were told was the case) but they both walked off in a storm. The stewardesses became impatient with me after that despite my quick walking. After that, everyone who worked at the airport had their eyes on me with a "How the heck?" kind of look upon their faces. It wasn't until later that I realized why; no one, not one person knew that I was still there, and that scared the crap out of some of them. I found this out when I noticed one of the stewardesses from the plane was at the same, cafe that I was at (now out of her uniform) and I walked over to her to politely inquire about it. She asked if I had hidden or something and I told her the truth, which was "no." And that I was in fact standing the whole time. I'm not a small man by any means, 250 pounds and 6'1" feet tall so it's not like I was too small to see or something. Good thing that I'm not a bomber, eh?

Off the top of my head, hit by lightning once. Unknown vibration at any speed over 240 KIAS (ended up being the flap track), strut overheat, nose gear collapse, two windshields cracked, passengers with medical conditions, partial engine failure, mis-fueled with a bad fuel gauge and a flame-out at altitude, fire indication with discharge of both bottles, stick shaker twice on one rotation with an overly-aggressive captain (empty leg), sick crew members, compressor stall with an overly-aggressive captain, pack failure, simultaneous communications and radar failure while near convective activity, missed by two inches when another airliner taxied by us at a good clip, runway incursion at my touch down, nil braking action after touchdown, severe clear air turbulence, severe icing, a near miss airborne, flying many legs with a pilot nicknamed stinky, and having to be on oxygen much of the flight due to his bad gas, and finally, having the police remove a passenger due to his acting aggressive towards me while still at the gate. I'm sure there are quite a few more that don't come to mind right now. Not too many compared to most pilots I know, but then again, I don't take as many chances as most - I'm cautious and by the book.

I was returning from London and the flight was landed in between for a jam in landing gear. thats not the worst. It took off and then landed again on a temperory destination. This happened for n no.of time and finally some 229 sole reached safely home after a 12 hour jorney instead of 8

Yes, a few times. One time, when in the military, we had to have the 10 heaviest guys get in the front in order to take off. Another time, when I was in a small plane in a storm over the mountains of Kentucky. Another time in extreme turbulence, I felt like the plane was coming apart.
