During the 1950s and 60s, GM changed the body styles from one year to the next on its new automobiles. no two years were alike. this was a big selling point for GM. maybe GM should do the same now?

    I don't think so. I believe they should fix the problems the vehicles have now and focus on building a reliable vehicle. Once that is done, they can change the body styles (which is bad for the consumer that purchased a previously style).

    You also have to keep in mind, during that time, there was very little competition from overseas companies, and Americans were in love with big, gas guzzling engines.

    Designs effect gas mileage and there is only so much you can do to be aerodynamically low profile and wind neutral to achieve high gas mileage per gallon numbers...
