The Flying Spaghetti Monster (FSM) is satiric fiction and should not be confused with real religion. The FSM was created in 2005, by Bobby Henderson in an open letter to the Kansas State Board of Education prior to the Kansas evolution hearings as an argument against the teaching of intelligent design in biology classes.
