  • people mature at different ages.. personally, i think it depends on the family they come from whether they have the support and help they need to do each. id say sex 16, everything else 18.
  • Maturity depends on the child. I know 18 year olds that can drink responsibly and 40 year olds that can't. Maturity has no 'real' age.
  • There is no good one answer for all children, or even for an individual child. Children grow up unevenly, and even revert back and forth between maturity to immaturity sometimes. By the time they reach the age that these questions need to be decided apart from the law, you can only hope you've given them a good foundation of common sense.
  • Maturity isn't an age. Age isn't a number. I got married when I was 18 and in the past 2 years that i've been married we've bought a new house, 2 new cars, and have begun to start our family. Some of the same people my age stayed home, lived with their parents, do drugs, got pregnant with a one night stand, and some have even done extremes that have taken their lives. To say that one age is suitable for all or any of the things you mentioned is impossible. Each person and those around them help determine when each person is ready for each different step in their lives whether they're 18 or 80!
  • Have sex? Should be married... Ditto for having and raising a child. Maturity is really relative... some people in their 30s don't seem mature enough to behave like adults.
