That is kind of annoying. But, sometimes books have been donated from private "collections" and maybe the previous owner did that.
no, sometimes its helpfull
because its often explqainations :)
not so much library books, but when i would pay for used text books i would be mad if someone before me wrote all in it, and not even leaves hints and answers!
Yes I do, only the other week I took a RAF book out of the library and some one had tried to correct a paragraph. What really annoys me most is people who fold the corners of a page to mark their place, instead of using a piece of paper or a bookmark.
No,and I always leave a tiny bit of myself behind. I love seeing a little from the last customer!
Yeah, it bugs me. It means they are too lazy to take notes like real students do. And I don't even like what they underline. It is usually the least important stuff. They miss the important stuff.
Yes I would! But I'm the person who folds the pages in the books so I can't hate so much. I was told by the librarian to stop doing that, there have been complaints. I was very embarassed and changed my ways.
yes and no. it depends on what is written. i checked out a book once and on the last page of chapter 1 some a55hole used the blank page to tell everyone how the book ended. i was so pissed.
Yes, yes and yes! Just lately, I have noticed that someone has crossed out all the swear words in the crime novels I have been getting from the library.
Depends-it ranges from insightful remarks & references to other books to idiotic underlining & yellow marker. Why is it that underliners do it to just about everything-making it pointless?
Do you ever take books out of the library that you never end up reading?
