All clothes go in the hamper for the next day's wash. Toiletries/cosmetics get put back where they belong and - more importantly - passports/documents & cash are stashed away correctly.
I drop everything in the living room, then crash in the bedroom. The stuff on the floor can wait.

To be honest I would just leave the suitcase in the hallway and unpack when I need something that is in the suitcase. I would take the dirties out though (because my husband would made me), I always put them in a plastic bag, so they are seperated from the clean clothes. Will not be hard to located the plastic bag in the suitcase without unpacking it :P
I will usually make sure to do it in the next few days.
I make sure the place is clean when I leave. Clean? what cleans? its easy to unpack. everything is a puzzle part and fits into the scheme of things.

You're reading You've just gotten home from vacation. Do you immediately unpack, put the dirties in the laundry, the cleans back in the drawer/closet, and put the suitcase away?
