In Windows XP you can temporarily sign off but your applications will continue running. Is it possible to do this with Windows 2000?

    Windows 2000 gives you two options for this kind of thing - lock the computer or log off. It was designed with business in mind and subsequently security. If you are coming back, then locking the computer is the same as temporarily logging off, yet is more secure. (I think - can't remember why).

    So to answer your question - yes, but you have to lock the comp.
