  • I say each is a step up from when it was perfectly legal: to rape your wife to prostitute in most states to use cocaine to send your child to work in coal mines to own other humans. to burn witches to have dogs fight to the death (ironic, huh?) to conduct bizarre scientific experiments on children and many other repugnant acts this country is no more or less moral. We just just shuffle things and fanatics who long for the good ole days of lynchings and such get amnesia about the immorality of of this country's past. Perhaps you feel we should go back to the days when the government was willingly letting it's own citizens suffer unknowingly from syphilis as an experiment. I'm looking for this alternative, more moral time period these questions seem to imply. keep looking through those hypocritical rose colored glasses
  • Since when is prostitution legal in Rhode Island?
  • Or should I say how man can think dog fighting is worse than driving drunk and killing someone?
  • I don't think the Rhode Island law is that bad because, unfortunately, poor people fall through the cracks in our society and some teens might be forced to strip for a living. I wouldn't want to take that opportunity away from them if that's the only job they can get to survive. The other two laws are just an example of favoritism towards celebrity, which is wrong.
  • Your cite, whoever they are, and the presentation you made of it is pretty incomplete and inflamatory. The facts are" "In Rhode Island the act of prostitution (engaging in sexual activity in exchange for money) is legal because there is no specific statute that defines it and makes it illegal. However, most activities associated with prostitution are outlawed. Operating a brothel is illegal (Chapter 11-34-5). Street prostitution is also illegal: Loitering for Indecent Purposes (Chapter 11-34-8) and Soliciting from Motor Vehicles for Indecent Purposes (Chapter 11-34-9).[1][2][3][4] Otherwise, prostitution is not regulated by the state of Rhode Island. Currently, there are two bills in the Rhode Island Assembly (one in the House and the other one in the Senate) which are attempting to outlaw prostitution and close this legal "loophole". [5] [6]"
  • I live in RI and it is not legal for a 16yr old girl to strip or go hooking if she wants to be a stripper she has to be 18.
  • We can thank 8 years of Republicans in power. http://dkosopedia.com/wiki/Examples_of_Republican_hypocrisy_on_moral_values
