  • I would think you would know this ahead of time but I have to ask because some women have been clueless to it. . . Are you pregnant? Other then that could be a metabolism shift. I'd see your doctor about it and possibly increase your activity level. How much weight have you gained thus far?
  • It could be a problem with your thyroid or petuitary gland. Just a thought, I've heard that could happen if you have a problem with one of your glands.
  • Could be the metabolism because I don't lose the weight like I used too! Anyway, I wanted to tell you that I'm glad to see the flapping wings again!!
  • This may sound odd but by focusing on weight too much, you are actually attracting it. Its so odd you asked this question because I am in the same boat as you. I started eating salads and walking an hour every nigh and I was gaining! I know its because I would fixate on it. And like the universal law of attraction, you attract what you are putting out, what I was putting out was "weight" not "health". After I realised that, every morning I woke up, I would say, " I feel great and thin today" "I look great and Im going to be healthy" After I took on that mindset, I kept my eating habits the same healthiness and I lost ten pounds in two weeks.
  • It can be for many reasons, such as a thyroid dysfunction,PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) or a blood sugar imbalance. I don't mean to scare you with any of this, so forgive me if I do. Check with your doctor and get some bloodwork done, it could be due to any of that or just a glitch in your metabolism.
  • Try drinking 1 - 2 glasses of milk a day or eating 2 - 4 yogurts a day or getting some sort of dairy into your diet. Dairy helps speed up the metabolism. Like jennyb suggests, look into the mirror each morning and say, "I am beautiful! I love my body!" and mean it, girl! Believe to achieve. Also, if you are really craving "bad" foods (sweets, soda, food high in saturated fat), then HAVE a snack. Just a bite. Eat it slow so you a) satisfy that craving and b) fill up faster, in turn consuming less of the "bad" foods. Stick to a diet HIGH in FRUITS, VEGGIES, WHOLE GRAIN, & DAIRY, but LOW in SATURATED FAT. You say you keep with the "same activity level." Change that up. It's not how long you execise for, it's what you do when you exercise. One person can work-out 20 minutes a day, every day, while another works-out for an hour a day, each day, but the 20 min a day work-out is seeing more results than that hour a day. Why? That 20 min a day work-out is constantly changing her routine; she does heavy cardio one day, light weights the next, focuses just on abs for a whole week, and the following week just on gleuts. The hour a day work-out strolls around her neighborhood each day for an hour, looking all cute in her same sweats, with her make-up done up perfectly, not a hair out of place, but she puts in a WHOLE HOUR (focusing on all the wrong things). Change it up, don't allow your body to fall into a routine and fall into a shape. Mold that shape, change that shape, play with that shape, love that shape & it'll love you back. See a personal trainer. I do some personal training on the side, but I'm in Dirty Jersey. We have plenty of different methods to counteract your stubborn tush. We'll keep you physically fit by getting you mentally geared. Good luck and best of it all!!!
  • over time our bodies metabolisms change...sometimes they speed up, usually they slow down.
