I *hate* to travel and have to for work once a year in January and that is pure pain...vacations on the other hand are usually very enjoyable in a tent in my backyard! LOL!

Always Pleasure. Except on the 30th.....ankle surgery. I don't consider that one to be pleasure at all. But will be worth it when it is done and over with. +5

its all business anymore. After too many long years of traveling I sit at home for pleasure now.

- All over the continental US and a small amount of international. If im lucky I might get 2 months a year at home and im at about 7 weeks so far this year so don't expect much more time at home.

- Well that gets complicated. I love my job and it is fun to go new places and see new things but after being away for months at a time and going from state to state and hotel to hotel. At that point you want to be home, sleep in your own bed and see your friends.

- Yes, all that makes alot of sense. I would like to travel more than I do, because it isn't much at all. But if I did all the time, I think I'd get tired of it also.

- dont get me wrong though, I have been home for like 22hrs and 50 min and I'm already bored to death and as soon as I get a call from work I'll gladly jump on a plane or in a car and go. If you want to travel you should find a job that offers that opportunity and go with it but keep in mind it's hard on a marraige or a relationship.

- thats good! Make sure when you get the opportunity you let your employer know that you want to do it on a trial basis and see how it works out for you. I love to eat good so it is nice to go to Maine for lobster, florida for rock shrimp, Kansas city for prime rib or Texas for BBQ. You will also get all the sky miles and hotel points so if you do want to travel on your time off you can do it for free.

Pleasure...have generally always been passed up on for business trips in favor for more senior people. Maybe next time will be the lucky time :)

When I travel it's for pleasure. Even when I was sent on business trips while everyone slept I was out exploring and enjoying the destination. I make the most of it.
