If the universe was created just 6,000 years ago, how come there are many (Most) cultures with histories stretching back long before creation, Egyptian, Chinese, aborigine, scottish picts to name just a few.

History in the Americas go back several hundred thousand years, if not more. The earth and the universe is at least 4.5 billion years old. :-)

"long before creation"??? This universe did not exist BEFORE creation. Noone really knows just how old or young the world is. There are scientific theories and there are religious theories but ALL theories are just that - 'an educated GUESS.'

Obviously none of those civilizations or dinosaurs for that matter existed :P We have no way of knowing for sure how old the earth is but I'm going to trust science on this one and not a book written by people who thought the earth was flat.

The universe, and planet Earth were created millions of years ago, not thousands. Human culture stretches back only a few thousand years.

The Bible NEVER STATES that the universe is 6k years old. That was some idiot Catholic cleric. Why Protestants believe that particular Catholic idea is way beyond me. Even the Catholic Church no longer believes that.

because scientists only know a fraction of existence. most of them use their rational left-brain and not the right-hand side of their brain which deals with intution and creativity. they are not spiritually-minded. to be spiritually-minded is to realise there is no beginning and no end.

The earlisted dated records are only 5,100 years old. The date of anything before that has no reliable dating method to consturct a time table for. In fact an early clay tablet from 5,050 years ago, tells about a great Flood 400 years before and how the world started two millinia before that!

It is NOT the universe that was created then...it was MAN... The universe is much older than that...the earth is in the billions of years...the dinosaurs had come and gone long before man was created...

Try adding another 4.5 Billion years to that, And you will be alot closer to it's true age. Don't only fundamentalist Christians think that? And the less we say about them the better.
