Cold goddam water! We went often to Crane Beach, on the North Shore of Mass. when I was a kid. The water at the that beach has always seemed colder than elsewhere.

  • I lived in Florida for five years and my best times were spent on the beaches there. Cookouts, swimming even the bars on the water that caused me the severe hangovers were wonderful, but best of all was the ocean and the sunrises and sunsets.

Poison Oak! Years ago several of us walked along the beach, the tide came in so we couldn;t walk back. Had to scramble up a hill that was loaded with poison oak (most CA beach hillsides are!) and I go my first and last case of it!
