With the new dial-a-matic designer-baby gene tweaker, you can choose your child's skin-hair-eye color and other features. If you were going to have a child and this technology were available now, would you use it?

    No, because if I did and the kid hated how he [or she] looked they'd blame me for the rest of their life.

    I can see it now, therapy groups for "bad combinations", talk show episodes, and all kinds of self-help books.

    No. I want my baby to look like the traditional mix of my wife's and my features. Michael Jackson messed with his face, and I don't think that worked very well.

    Genetics is a delicate balancing act that we should not mess with. Change the child's hair color and it might effect their ability to tolerate sunlight! Change eye color and they might end up blind!
