What is wrong with my guppy fish? My pregnant guppy looks sad, goes from swimming on top,hiding under plants and sitting on gravel? She moves slowly. She is fat but not too fat. I watched her all morning now I am sad. Hv to run errand afraid she be dead

usually pregnant people arnt the happiest until they have the baby(ies)

If there are other fish in the tank, she may be scared. The other fish seem to know that she is pg. They will eat her babies. She might too, so you might separate her as soon as she has them. I know all of this sounds gross and maybe you already know it, but we raised guppies for awhile. I hope yours is okay. I named my fish and was always sad when they died.

- I'm so sorry about your guppy. I was really following along as you gave the progress. She was so close! Maybe it was too hard on her. I'm glad you have fry from the other guppy. I was wondering if you could do (too late now, and probably too gross) a cesarean on her and get her babies. +3

She got baby blues, guppy version. I hope she will be doing better soon.

I returned and my guppy is still alive. Went to Petco and they say more likely will have fry in 1-2 days. Let's see how accurate they are. I hope they are right as I don't want to lose her. I fell in love with her at the pet store and just had to buy her. She looks cute small with a big tummy and her eyes just look at me. She was on her own in a gallon but I put her in the 2 way breeder inside my 10 gallon aquarium. the other fish come and stare at her. As you say, they know she is pregnant and want to eat the fry.

- Well, I will never know. I put her in the 2 way breeder and two hours later she died without having fry. I could see her trying to swim but thought it was normal. I never thought she was going to die. Apparently she stress out and died.
  today my other guppy had at least 20 and I was able to get about 16 out bef she ate.
