Ok, the brain is NOT a muscle, literally.
But there have been many studies that show that the more you use your brain for problem solving, the "younger" it stays. Puzzles, figuring out new things, like how to get through a city using roads you're not familiar with, all help fight off the effects of aging on brain function.
So yes, "use it or lose it" is very true.
I Would agree with this.
To me, that is a statement that is correct.
Use it or you lose it!
Well, connections have beed found between people who use their brains [doing word puzzles, keeping up on recent issues . . .] and preventing alzheimer's disease.
So I guess you could say if you use it you keep it.
