Besides seeing the sites. A trip to the Theatre would be a very memorable thing for your child and maybe you too. there are some great shows on and off Broadway.

You could spend a week in the museums. Go to the Bronx Zoo, Central Park, take in a Broadway play. You could spend a year in NYC and never be bored.

Central Park. lunch in Chinatown. Museums. Staten Island Ferry (free) or a boat tour around Manhattan. Times Square. Washington Square & Greenwich Village. Coney Island. Statue of Liberty.

There are alot of nice things to do, like you could go to Chelsea piers it's on 23 st. There are activities like rock climbing,biking or go to a play in the theather district.:)

Metropolitan Museum of Art. The Top of the Rock Observation Decks only re-opened late 2005. This is nowhere near as crowded as the Empire State Building , and the views are far superior to those from the Empire State Building. . Central Park... ...New York Public Library.... See a Yankees game.

Pick up a copy of 'time out new york' and you'll find hundreds of free things to do. And hundreds of low cost thing to do. . Look for some exceptionally good ethnic restaurants (and reasonable) on the fringes of the city, the lower east side, east village, tenth ave. etc. Time out has loads. . NYC is the greatest city in the world! Safe, friendly and so much fun! . We have over 100 museums, including really cool ones like the police museum, subway museum and so on. . Prepare to be overwhelmed when looking thru time out, start with the 'own this city' section. See their website. . Have Fun! (I would hang with you, but I'm in a cast)
