  • The inside looks like the inside of the outside. In other words, the 'funnel' really is funnel-shaped.
  • It is calm inside, but a whirlwind around it. I used to have a girlfriend like that. I used to call her "tornado". + 5
  • The inside of a tornado is the the ultimate calm 'eye of the storm'.
  • Inside a tornado it is calm. I've seen many and been in one bad one. The winds came and then it got calm and then the winds came again and HAIL like you wouldn't believe. Rain with it. Right here in my town. . And when some describe the sound like a train coming at you.....it is very true. Sounded like it was coming towards my house and then past. CRAZY!
  • Not many have been in a position to know. There have been those who were in the "eye" of a hurricane, pilots and other hurricane studiers. The tip of a tornado's funnel is smaller, usually, and on the ground when you see it. There is little way to get inside it and survive. Cameras have been used to film a tornado's insides, but they usually show black.
