  • It may seen "natural," but it is useless and a waste of energy. Most adults learn when it is time to move on, and put mistakes behind them, and this is a perfect example. No use wasting more time and energy on a person who has proven to be untrustworthy, for then you are merely lowering yourself to their level.
  • Of course, it's natural. So is fire; that doesn't mean you can throw yourself into it without getting hurt. Revenge, like any action, is directed energy, and energy is just like a ripple on a lake. It goes on and on, then comes back to you. If you put out negative energy (such as revenge), it WILL come back to you. The best thing to do is let it go. Many, many people have had harder things to deal with than you have had. If everyone sought revenge, being on this planet would suck for everybody. That means there are a whole lot of people doing something right. So, whatever it is, and whatever happens, get over it. Suck it up, spank your inner moppet, or hole up for awhile and mope. Do whatever it is you need to do. But get over it. +5
  • I think it's bad because i strive to achieve and enjoy inner peace and harboring ill will toward anyone contradicts that ideal. ~ To be consumed with grudge, hatred, bitterness or thoughts of revenge serves no purpose other than to allow negative unhappy thoughts to take precedence in one's mind at the expense of positive happy thoughts. ~ I do not see that as being good or healthy for anyone.
  • Then the other party has to get even, then other people get involved, then families, then generations; and nobody knows why anymore, "it's just what the Hatfields and McCoys do."
