Venus is the hottest planet in the solar system because its thick atmosphere captures heat from the sun. So how is it the we are getting hotter because our atmosphere is getting thinner? it would be much easier for the heat to escape, wouldnt it?

Who says our atmosphere is getting thinner? We are building up ADDITIONAL "greenhouse gases," like carbon dioxide, at an alarming rate. Such gases reflect the sun's heat back to Earth, warming it. It's exactly the same principle as is happening on Venus.

oh. you believe in global warming? did you know that our atmosphere is made up of multiple gasses? CO2 only makes up less the 1% of those gasses. which is a quantity that is waaaay to low to effect anything this much.
