You're reading Is it logical that the crew of Star Trek: Enterprise could have been able to encounter as many, non-Vulcan, alien races (including the chief medical officer), given their inferior technology as compared to Star Trek:TOS,TNG,DS9 & Voyager?

Relativistic travel would really mess things up though. By the time you got back from Denebola, everyone you knew before would have died of old age. Even the children you knew would be in their 70's and 80's. Warp drive is the ONLY way to go if those are the only choices.
