Is there anyway to know if my land line phone is being tapped?

    You can hire a private investigation firm to "sweep" your phones, but I don't know how reliable there are (how can you check their work?) and I DO know they're very expensive. :(

    By the way, if your "land line" is a cordless phone -- YOU HAVE NO PRIVACY. The police do not need a warrant to record conversations from a cordless phone. Just so you know.

    As an attorney, I *never* have client conversations on a cordless phone. However, this isn't legal advice from me to you, just a comment about what I do to protect myself and my clients.
